Lowbrow or lowbrow art[1], describes an underground visual art movement that arose in the Los Angeles, California, area in the late 1970s. Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture and other California subcultures. It is also often known by the name pop surrealism. Lowbrow art is an art form that is gaining huge popularity throughout the US and in Europe.
Natasha Clayton prefers the term ‘’Lowbrow High Art’’
There will be free (!!!) wine and cheese (more on this later)
The Dead Doll Dancers will provide general mayhem and debauchery as kickass strutting cigarette girls and naughty nurses.
Known as Montreal’s raunchiest troupe, these dollies are dedicated to
bringing Montreal’s live entertainment standards to new lows.
The South Shore will never be the same again.

The Dead Dolls will be giving out free limited edition postcards of the paintings.
To dance the night away (or till the booze runs out) the music accompanying the exhibition will be a smorgasborg of Andrew sisters, Cramps, Doris Day, 50’s rockabilly, 80’s punk, Peaches and Princess Superstar.
